I created HONEY PIE (on a whim!) for family meal while working down at Hartwood in 2017. Since then, I have been making this little babe every week for the past three years. Before Weltons Fine Foods, this was my first baby. Rouge de Bordeaux Crust made with brown butter, ooooey gooey honey custard filling made with South Carolina Honey, topped with candied benne crunchies, SC bee pollen, and Bulls Bay sea salt. From the Yucatán, Texas, Upstate New York, and Charleston… she is a winner, always. We do 4 inch honey pie hand pies that serve 1-2 people for $10 a piece!
